Buford woman killed Sunday after dispute at Suwanee Wal-Mart

SUWANEE- A Buford woman died Sunday after being stabbed in a domestic dispute in a Wal-Mart parking lot. The Suwanee Police Department received a report around 4pm of a fight in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found that a male and female had been stabbed. Both parties were transported to Gwinnett Medical Center where the woman, identified as 27-year-old Shelley Dyan Dunn of Buford, was pronounced dead. The male, identified as 28-year-old Phillip Chad Dunn of Lawrenceville, was expected to survive from his injuries.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the estranged couple was meeting in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart to exchange custody of their two children when an argument broke out. During the argument, the husband stabbed the wife and then stabbed himself.
