Boys basketball: Lakeview keeps pace in Region 8-A

HIAWASSEE - Jackson Wells poured in 15 points to lead the Lakeview Academy boys basketball team to a 50-40 win over Towns County in Region 8-A action.

It was the second straight region win for the Lions (12-9, 11-3 in region) in as many nights. They reamined within one-half game of first place in the region with two region games left next week.

Lakeview will play host to rival Athens Academy Tuesday night and then play host to region-leader Commerce on Thursday.
