FLOWERY BRANCH -- After a frustrating start that saw Gainesville fall behind by seven at halftime, the Lady Elephants finally put their height advantage to use in the third quarter against Flowery Branch.
Gainesville got nine straight layups during a 19-4 run en route to a 45-36 win over the Lady Falcons Friday in a key Region 7B-AAA matchup.
Rebecca Webster and Jaymee Carnes dominated the inside play for Gainesville scoring 15 of the Lady Elephantsâ
Jaymee Carnes, seen in a game played earlier this season, scored 21 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and blocked five shots to lead Gainesville to a win over Flowery Branch.
