GAINESVILLE - Investigators say they still haven't been able to talk to the 19-year-old man who was the victim of an apparent accidental shooting in South Hall Monday morning.

Col. Jeff Strickland of the Hall County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday morning, however, that Jerrod Turner remains in stable condition after undergoing surgery at Grady hospital in Atlanta.

Turner was airlifted to Grady after sheriff's deputies found him in a mobile home at Country Side Village Mobile Home Park near Flowery Branch about 8:00 Monday morning. Col. Strickland says Turner was suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen but was conscious and alert.
