Flash Flood Watch; Wind Advisory

UNDATED - A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for parts of northeast Georgia, effective from Tuesday afternoon through late Tuesday night as has a Wind Advisory.<br /> <br /> The flood watch also covers portions of western North Carolin and upstate South Carolina.<br /> <br /> Included are Habersham, Rabun and Stephens counties in northeast Georgia.<br /> <br /> In western North Carolina: Graham... Haywood... Madison... northern Jackson and Swain counties. In upstate South Carolina: greater Oconee County... greater Pickens County... the Oconee mountains and Pickens mountains.<br /> <br /> Rainfall amounts of 2-4 inches will be possible, some heavy at times, resulting in rapid rises in streams and rivers and perhaps some flooding.<br /> <br /> Precautionary/preparedness actions... <br /> <br /> A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead<br /> to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.<br /> <br /> You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action<br /> should flash flood warnings be issued.<br /> <br /> WIND ADVISORY<br /> <br /> The Wind Advisory is in effect from 9:00 Monday night until 3:00 Tuesday afternoon and included Fannin, Gilmer, Union, Towns, Pickens, Dawson, Lumpkin and White counties, along with Murray County in northwest Georgia.
