U.S. Capitol Christmas tree due in Dahlonega today

DAHLONEGA - Dahlonega is getting ready for today's arrival of the U.S. Capitol Christmas tree.

Dahlonega trucker Jeff Underwood should be on the final leg of a journey that began more than a week ago in Wyoming and will end in Dahlonega about 5:00 thsi afternoon before continuing on to Washington, D.C., Friday.

Underwood and his crew have been zig-zagging across the country... pulling the tree on a large flatbed trailer.

The tree will be on display in Dahlonega until the journey to Washington resumes Friday.
