North Georgia softball inks six, including two locals

DAHLONEGA -- North Georgia College & State University head softball coach Mike Davenport has announced the signing of six players -- including one each from Buford and Union County -- to NCAA National Letters of Intent.

The six players, all from the state of Georgia include, Melissa Dickie (Buford HS), Kaitlyn Seabolt (Union Co. HS), Katie Block (Parkview HS), Tiffanie Burns (Screven Co. HS), Taylor Merritt (Walnut Grove HS), and Rochelle Shuman (Screven Co. HS).

"We are very excited about the 2011 Class we were able to bring into our program," Davenport said. "Each one of these young ladies will be a tremendous asset to the Saints Softball program as well as an asset to our University as student-athletes. We look forward to the opportunity to coach this class and are excited about the impact they will have on our program."
