Early voting for Nov. 30 runoffs winding down

UNDATED - Advance voting is getting underway across the state today ahead of next Tuesday's judicial runoffs. Early voting began in some locations, including Gainesville, last week. (See earlier story.)

Some local races are also driving up early turnout in place... including in the Columbus area, where Voter Registration Director Nancy Boren says 5,000 absentee ballots have been requested so far. A mayoral runoff and runoff for a city council seat are on the ballot.

Advance voting continues through Wednesday. Some places have no local contests but there are two statewide judicial runoffs.
