ATLANTA -- Grady took advantage of three White County turnovers to end the Warriors run in the Class AAA playoffs Friday night.

The Grey Knights turned the White County miscues into 21 points en route to a 39-20 win in Atlanta. The loss for White County (9-3) ends the best state playoff run ever by a Warriors team. Grady (11-1) moves on to play Peach County next week.

Grady (11-1) took control of the game in the second quarter with 20 straight points to break a scoreless first quarter. The Warriors would claw back into the game on a 7-yard pass from running back Ashely Lowery to receiver Patrick Jones late in the second quarter, followed by a 1-yard touchdown run from quarterback Cole Segraves midway through the third quarter to cut the lead to 20-13.

The key play of the game came just 20 seconds later when the Grey Knights struck for a 71-yard scoring pass from quarterback Treveon Albert to receiver Damien Swann to extend the lead to 26-13.

White County would not go quietly, closing the gap to 26-20 on a 12-yard touchdown pass from Segraves to Jones early in the fourth quarter.

But Grady put the game away with two touchdowns in a four minute span.

Lowery closed out his White County career on a strong note with 99 yards rushing. Segraves finished with 171 yards passing.

The turnovers proved to be the difference as the Warriors finished with 310 yards of total offense to Grady's 327 yards.

White County picked up its first-ever state playoff victory this season and finished second in Region 8-AAA.
