GAINESVILLE - Hall County Monday officially kicked off a community-wide effort to save environmental and financial resources. EnviroShare is an environmental management system, a voluntary network of local governments, school systems, citizens, businesses and nonprofit organizations who work together toward common environmental goals.

"Our community has a vision of Hall County as a place where the environment is a priority. Let's build a Hall County we can be proud of," said county commissioner Ashley Bell, who championed the revamped EnviroShare program.

EnviroShare X-Change has been e-mail resource-sharing program for 15 years, started by Rick Foote, Natural Resources Coordinator for Hall County Government. But Foote says expanding the program to a countywide environmental management system
