Deal to speak in Gainesville Sat. night

GAINESVILLE - Governor-elect Nathan Deal makes makes one of his first post-election public appearances Saturday night in Gainesville.

A spokesman for Deal said Thursday night he still plans to keep a planned appearance at First Baptist Church where the church's Boy Scout troop will celebrate its 75th anniversary.

Deal made the committed to the event in August when he was still running for the state's top office. Deal was elected on Tuesday.
