Wreck closed Dorsey St. at Pearl Nix

GAINESVILLE - A three-vehicle wreck left Dorsey Street at Pearl Nix Parkway on the southside of Gainesville closed for about an hour Thursday morning.

Gainesville police and fire fighters responded to the accident that caused minor injuries.

A pick-up truck, a construction truck pulling a small backhoe and a tractor trailer truck collided at the intersection and fire fighters got busy containing about 80 gallons of spilled diesel fuel according to Deputy Fire Chief Jerome Yarborough who said one vehicle driver was sent from the scene to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment.
