GAINESVILLE - As the home construction industry continues to struggle to recover from the recession, there's word of plans for another new subdivision in Hall County.

In September, plans were revealed for a 43-acre subdivision on Union Church Road near Oak Farm Way in South Hall. Now comes word of plans for an 18-lot development on Goetz Drive near Ramsey Road on the north side of Gainesville.

Jordan and Jordan Properties, Inc., will go before the Gainesville Planning and Appeals Board Nov. 9 with a request to annex 8.27 acres and rezone the tract from Agricultural Residential-III (AR-III) and Vacation Cottage (V-C) Residential-I (R-I), with an 8-slip community boat doc on Lake Lanier

According to the application, the homes will be a minimum of 1,800-square-feet. Access to the subdivision would be from the cul-de-sac on Ramsey Road..
