JEFFERSON - Systemax is preparing to open its new facility in Jackson County that's expected to provide 400 jobs in northeast Georgia.

Gov. Sonny Perdue plans to attend the opening on Monday of a complex that will include an electronics distribution center, call center and retail warehouse.

Systemax is the fourth company to open a distribution center in Jackson County this year. It's the parent company of electronics retailers Tiger Direct, Comp USA and online retailer circuitcity.com.

The company says it's already hired enough employees to open the facility, but will add more later.
