LAWRENCEVILLE - Investigators have connected a series of bank robberies across Northeast Georgia and metro Atlanta to one suspect, and now police need some help from the public to find him.

Cpl. Brian Kelly with the Gwinnett Police Department said robbery investigators put the pieces of the puzzle together.

"They compared surveillance video and they talked amongst themselves, and they determined that the same suspect here in Gwinnett County was seen robbing a bank in Forsyth County and Fulton County," said Kelly.

The suspect is described as a black male between 5'4" and 5'6" in height, weighing between 130 and 160 pounds.

In one instance, in Fulton County, the suspect is believed to have gotten into a car to make his getaway; that vehicle was being driven by someone described only as a black male.

Kelly said that while the suspect had never brandished a weapon at any of the four robberies, he did give notes to tellers, claiming that he was armed.

The robberies occurred at the following locations on the indicated dates:

~August 10, 2010 at the Sun Trust Bank on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Norcross

~September 7, 2010 at a Wachovia Bank in Forsyth County, address not named

~September 23, 2010 at the Regions Bank on Satellite Boulevard in Gwinnett County

~September 24, 2010 at the Bank of America on Medlock Bridge Road in Johns Creek

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call the Gwinnett County Police Department at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS.
