GAINESVILLE - Cronic Drive in Gainesville was closed for a time Tuesday morning because of a gas leak.
Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said the road was closed between Atlanta Highway and Browns Bridge Road after road construction crews cut a 4-inch gas line.
No one was hurt and there evacuations were not necessary, according to Kimbrell, because the strong winds helped disperse the gas.
