The Lady War Eagles (13-3, 6-0 in subregion) led throughout, never letting the Lady Bobcats (6-12, 2-5) get into the game.
Chestatee led 13-8 after the first quarter, but outscored Gilmer 28-14 in the second and third quarters combined to pull away for a 41-22 lead.
Peyton Robertson had another double-double to pace the Lady War Eagles, pouring in 16 points to go with 10 rebounds. Chelsea Wilson added 12 points, Rachel Kelly six points and five rebounds, and Shelby Bright had five points for Chestatee.
Chestatee plays host to Class A Pace Academy at 2:30 p.m. Saturday and then jumps back into subregion play Monday at home against Pickens. Pace Academy (11-7) is 6-3 against higher classification teams this season and 2-0 against Class AAA teams.
