ATLANTA -- Vince Dooley plans to make regular visits to Tennessee to watch his son, Derek, coach the Volunteers football team.

As for wearing orange on those visits, well that's another question.

Dooley, the former longtime Georgia coach and athletic director, says it would have to be "a very special occasion" for him to wear orange. Even then he says he'd wear Tennessee's colors "very conservatively."

Dooley says his wife, Barbara, will have "no reservation" about wearing orange. He says he and Barbara are "very happy, very proud" that Derek Dooley, the former Louisiana Tech coach, was named Tennessee's coach on Friday.

The elder Dooley says he'll have mixed emotions but will quietly pull for his son when Tennessee plays at Georgia on Oct. 9.
