BRASELTON - A Braselton man is recovering from a gunshot wound he suffered Tuesday night during an altercation with another man.

The Barrow County Sheriff's deputies say it happened at 1235 Georgia Highway 124.

They found Kreg Rayburn, 24, shot in the leg and foot. The victim was flown via helicopter to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, where investigators later interviewed him. He was in stable condition Wednesday morning.

Lloyd Hudson, 38, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act.

Investigators are searching for a motive but believed it was the result of some sort of dispute between Hudson and Rayburn. However, they have determined the two knew each other and live in the same area. Investigators say Hudson shot Rayburn with a .357 pistol while both were at the Hudson's home.
