GAINESVILLE - More than 100,000 people expected for Saturday's 12th annual Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta. That's the estimate posted on the Lake Lanier Convention and Visitors Bureau's "Slip Away" Web site.

The green flag drops at 11:15 on the 10-hour, 1,000-mile endurance race.

Side attractions include a vendor village, meet the drivers session, and vintage racing displays.

Earlier this week, the check-in time for early-arriving campers and RVs had to be pushed back because of soggy conditions in the infield created by the heavy rains that we had.
