The level of Lanier has risen more three feet the past week. It was last Tuesday that the rains started, and since that time the level has gone up 3.54 feet.
The level early Tuesday morning was 1067.46; full pool is 1071.
The level has increased 14.33 feet since January 1 when it began a rapid recovery from the drought.
While the nearly 10 inches of rain in Gainesville since Tuesday is a factor in increasing the lake level, so is the runoff from areas upstream which have also experienced torrenetial downpours.

Lake Lanier from Dunlap Landing off Thompson Bridge Road on 9-22-09.
