UNDATED - Most of north and central Georgia remain under a flood watch this morning as forecasters predict more rain on top of heavy rains that have soaked the state this week.

The flood watch began Thursday afternoon and continues until Saturday morning... with another two to four inches of rain expected in many places today. (See separate story.)

And, the Weather Channel's Jennifer Nitosso says by the time the rains it... it will have been raining for about a week. Nitosso says rain is in the forecast through Tuesday.

Three inches of rain have fallen at the Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport in Gainesville airport the past three days... but some places in northeast Georgia, such as Ellijay, have recorded around six inches.

Some bridges and roads were washed out yesterday in middle Georgia's Taylor County. The National Weather Service says part of Georgia Highway 96 in Taylor County was closed Thursday due to flooding, and high water was reported on Georgia 128. A flash flood warning was issued overnight in Houston County - also in middle Georgia - when the area received 3 to 4 inches of rain fell in two hours.
