MURRAYVILLE - A case of animal cruelty - involving the deaths of 16 animals - is under investigation in North Hall.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office says the animals were found Thursday inside and outside a vacant house in the 7000 block of Elm Circle in Murrayville.

Authorities they were called after the carcasses - in various stages of decomposition - were found by a crew from a cleaning company hired to clean the house after the occupants had moved.
