Additional rabies clinic set for Hall Co.

GAINESVILLE - The Humane Society of Hall County says it will go ahead with another rabies clinic this year.

Director Rick Aiken says an additional rabies case reported in North Hall county last week prompted the agency to schedule another clinic Saturday, September 12 at the shelter on Ridge Road. So far this year, Hall County has 16 confirmed rabies cases.

Aiken said the hours for the clinic will be 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. He urged participants to arrive early, noting that the line would be closed promptly at 11:30 to give the veterinarian ample time to finish vaccinating all pets.

Rabies vaccines will be $10 each, according to Aiken, and microchipping will also be available for pets.
