Pope was employed by AT&T at the time and was an active church youth leader who had also been on several overseas mission trips, leading a life described as "both mentally and spiritually content."
During his rehabilitation process at Shepherd Center, a nationally renowned facility for treating catastrophic spinal cord and brain injuries in Atlanta, Kenny learned that his accident wouldn't stop him from continuing to live a full and productive life. His story of tragedy, rehabilitation and rejuvenation has been chosen as the latest in an ongoing series of web-exclusive videos titled Stories of Hope, a collaboration between Shepherd Center and KPKinteractive.
The production features interview with Kenny and his wife, Teri, and members of his care teams at Shepherd Center and at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
In conjunction with the video's release this week on www.ShepherdTV.org, the Popes will be interviewed by guest host Tom Smiley on WDUN NEWS TALK 550's Martha Zoller Show at 10:10 this morning.
