Tigers chew up Morgan County

COMMERCE - Commerce rebounded from a tough loss to rival Jefferson last week with a solid 34-14 win over Morgan County Friday night at Tiger Stadium.

The Tigers (1-1) jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead in the first quarter and led 21-6 at halftime. Commerce would lead 34-6 before Morgan County (0-2) scored late.

Deon Brock paced the Tigers with 188 yards rushing and three touchdowns, including scoring runs of 50 and 78 yards. Jon Cash added 58 yards on the ground for Commerce.

Quarterback Josh Streetman was 4-of-17 passing for 76 yards and two touchdowns but was plagued by several dropped passes.

Commerce will travel to Franklin County (0-2) next week.
