GAINESVILLE - Following 15 confirmed rabies cases in the county this year, the Humane Society of Hall County is hosting its final scheduled rabies clinic Saturday.

Humane Society Director Rick Aiken says the clinic is from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Wal-Mart parking lot in Oakwood.

"We had a great turn out at our last one but there are still a lot of people out there who have not had their dogs vaccinated," Aiken said. "This is the perfect time to do it."

He added not to forget to bring your cats along, too, since they usually have more exposure to wild animals than dogs do. The fact that there are still so many pets who are not up to date on their rabies vaccinations concerns Aiken, especially following last year's record number of rabies cases in Hall County and the number that have been recorded so far this year.

The shot at the clinic will cost $10.
