Race track discussion on hold

BRASELTON - Discussion of a proposed rack track in a Braselton business park has been taken off Monday's Braselton Planning Commission agenda.

City officials say it was done at the request of the applciant, Daniel Moore. Moore wants to put a multi-purpose "kart" racing track on 17 acres in 85 Park at Winder Highway and I-85. The park is owned by Duluth-based Duke Realty Corporation.

The request is now scheduled to be hearing by Braselton planners in September.
