Police responding to a 911 call from Ashley Schutt found her husband, 30-year-old Gregory Schutt, dead from multiple stab wounds. Gwinnett Police spokesman Cpl. David P Schiralli said the woman initially told officers that the couple were the victims of a home-invasion robbery and that she had been sexually assaulted by the robbers.
Schiralli said investigators disproved her claims and found enough evidence to charge her in the death. She is charged with one count of murder and one count of
possession of a weapon during a crime.
Ashley Schutt is being held at the Gwinnett County jail without bond.
