Guilty pleas in $5 million scam

ATLANTA - An Atlanta man Wednesday pleaded guilty to a $5 million "advance fee" scam and a co-defendant from Jackson County is scheduled to do the same next week.

Anthony Tobin, 51, will be sentenced October 8. Meanwhile co-defendant Kathrine Twigg, 47, of Hoschton is set to enter a guilty plea next Tuesday.

Tobin pleaded guilty to federal charges of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, and one count of wire fraud. He was indicted on the charges along with Twigg amd a third co-defendant on March 25.
