ATHENS - U.S. Representative Paul Broun, M.D. (GA-10), Thursday announced that the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) has approved a $300,000 grant to Braselton to upgrade a business park's wastewater system. This expansion will support the creation of 230 new jobs and leverage $25 million in private investment, Rep. Broun said.

The wastewater infrastructure that serves the 275-acre Braselton Business Park is aging and needs to be replaced. The equipment has limited capacity and cannot accommodate any significant flow increases that would be generated by new development projects. Two major employers will be locating to Braselton, necessitating improvements to the siteâ
