ATLANTA - South Hall is still in the running for a police car assembly plant that would employ 1,500.

Carbon Motors Corporation says that out of the five states under consideration, three remain: Georgia, South Carolina and Indiana.

Company officials estimate there are 10,000 new direct and indirect American jobs at stake with a $3 billion economic impact on the selected region over the next ten years.

The Hall County site under consideration is in the Braselton area.

The company is on track to make an announcement this summer, and possibly by the end of July 2009, regarding the final location for the Carbon campus.
