GAINESVILLE - The child molestation case against a former substitute teacher and North Hall church employee has begun moving through the court system.

Jacob Allen Morris is the son of the pastor of Concord Baptist Church. He is also a former substitute teacher in the Hall County School System.

The charges against him involve an 8-year-old girl. Authorities say the incidents occurred Hall and Douglas counties... at least one of them at the church where he worked.

Morris was arrested a week ago. Col. Jeff Strickland of the Hall County Sheriff's Office said at the time that apparently none of the incidents involved any Hall County School System student.

Morris is charged with two counts of Child Molestation in Hall County and Aggravated Child Molestation, Child Molestation, Aggravated Sodomy, and Aggravated Sexual Battery in Douglas County.

A Hall County Magistrate Judge has bound the case over to Superior Court.
