Lumpkin voters okay SPLOST extension

DAHLONEGA - Lumpkin County voters overwhelmingly approved extension of a Special Purpose Location Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) for education Tuesday.
With only 7.26 percent of 15,295 registered voters going to the polls, the issue passed 901-209, or 81.17 percent to 18.83 percent.
