One arrested, one on the run in McEver school burglary

GAINESVILLE - A suspected burglar is in jail and another is on the run after Hall County authorities interrupt a burglary in progress at McEver Elementary School.

Colonel Jeff Strickland with the Hall County Sheriff's Deaprtment identified the suspect who was caught as 35-year-old Ricardo Estrella of Gainesville.

"He is currently being held without bond at the Hall County Jail and is charged with burglary, interference with government property, obstruction and a probation warrant," he said.

Strickland said the second suspect could only be identified as a Hispanic male.

Deputies found approximately $11,000 dollars worth of laptop computers, TVs, a VCR and a set of portable radios outside the school.
