Proposed county budget eliminates nearly 30 jobs

GAINESVILLE - Hall County residents will not see a tax increase in the coming fiscal year, as Hall County Government continues to shave expenses... including the elimination of 28 jobs.

County Administrator Charley Nix presented the Board of Commissioners with the proposed county budget for FY2010 Tuesday morning.

The $92.4-million budget is $5.3 million less than last year. Additional revisions in some of the details are likely before the final budget is adopted on June 25.
