Number of farms in NE Ga. still declining

WASHINGTON - Information from the 2007 Census of Agriculture is now available at the congressional district level in online profiles published by the U.S. Department of Agricultureâ
Gwinnett and Forsyth, each show a 42 percent decline in the number of farms between 2002-2007. The report also shows that Dawson County lost six percent of its farms during the period; Hall, four percent; and, Jackson, three percent.
