JEFFERSON - An Army helicopter flying around Jefferson Monday was giving rides to a special group of students.

Lt. Colonel Eric Cleveland, Senior Army Instructor for the ROTC unit, said the Georgia Army National Guard provided the chopper for the Helicopter Orientation Flight for ROTC cadets from Jackson County High School.

"A lot of them have never flown in anything, much less a military aircraft," commented Cleveland. "So to get in a helicopter and fly...it's a special day for them."
