GAINESVILLE - There were more Earth Day events over the weekend in Gainesville.

On Saturday, a daylong series of events included hands-on volunteer work... mulching Elachee's picnic area and gardens, planting trees and re-vamping of a dry stream bed. But it was not all work. Then Sunday, at First Baptist Church on Green Street, Rev. Barbara Brown Taylor discussed her new book, "An Altar in the World: The Geography of Faith." Rev. Taylor, an Episcopal priest, is a professor of religion at Piedmont College in Demorest who has been called "one of the twelve most effective preachers in the English-speaking world" by Baylor University,
