Baseball: Falcons rally past East Hall

RABBITTOWN -- Flowery Branch rallied from an early deficit to beat East Hall 10-6 in a key Region 7-AAA game Thursday for the Falcons.

Flowery Branch (15-4, 14-4 in region) is trying to hold off Gainesville for fourth place in the region with just six games remaining in the regular season. The Falcons will travel to West Hall Friday in a 7 p.m. game.

After Flowery Branch took a 1-0 lead in the first, East Hall (5-15, 4-14) jumped on the Falcons for four runs in the bottom of the inning, highlighted by a two-run home run from Cody Davidson. The Falcons tied the game in the second and then took the lead for good in the third. They added three runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth to pull away.

Senior Preston Bostick got the win for Flowery Branch allowing just three hits and two runs in 4 2/3 innings in relief.

Brad Stone, James Wilson, and Cory Sanderson each had two hits for Flowery Branch. Stone had two RBI for the Falcons.
