AccessNorthGa.com picks up 'Best Website' award

ATLANTA - AccessNorthGa.com has been named Best Website in Class B Radio by the Georgia Associated Press Broadcasters Association (GAPBA).<br /> <br /> The 2009 GAPBA awards, which recognize outstanding work by the state's radio and television stations who are affiliated with the Associated Press, were announced Friday.<br /> <br /> AccessNorthGa.com is a product of WDUN NEWS TALK 550. Both are part of Jacobs Media Corporation.<br /> <br /> In addition to the Best Website award, WDUN picked up an award for Best Documentary/Public Affairs Program for Northeast Georgia This Week. The award-winning segment aired last November and featured an assessment of the outcome of the 2008 presidential election. The program, hosted by Newsroom Manager Ken Stanford, airs at Sundays at 6:05 a.m. on WDUN and at 9:05 a.m. on 1240 ESPN, also a division of Jacobs Media.<br /> <br /> WDUN/AccessNorthGa.com reporter Jerry Gunn picked up an Honorable Mention for a report on last year's Helen-to-the Atlantic Hot Air Ballon Race.
