Four restaurants cited for underage sales

CUMMING - Four Forsyth County restaurants were recently cited for sales of alcoholic beverages to an underage person, Sheriff Ted Paxton said Wednesday.

The underage operation involved visits to ten restaurants.

In each instance, Paxton said, a person under the age of 21 would enter a restaurant and order an alcoholic beverage. If the underage person was served without being asked for proper age verification, a deputy in plain clothes who witnessed the violation would issue the citation.
