The application to the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning requests creation of dual-immersion programs at Chicopee Woods Elementary, Martin Elementary, Sardis Elementary and the World Language Academy. In a dual-immersion model, students receive up to 90% instruction in a minority language and the remaining 10% in the majority language.
Even though the state will not notify the county of funding until late May, parents are encouraged to complete waiting list forms for potential students. Twenty students will be enrolled at each site should funding be approved.
For complete details on the dual-immersion Pre-K sites, go to the Hall County Board of Education Website at www.hallco.org or the World Language Academy website at www.hallco.org/wla.
