Arrest made in 2006 Forsyth County murder

CUMMING - A news conference has been scheduled for Monday afternoon to reveal details of the arrest of Elijah Britton in connection with the 2006 murder of a Roswell mother found in an abandoned house on the Forsyth/Fulton county line.

A surveying crew found the body of Octavia Nicole Atkins, 30, in the old farmhouse on Union Hill Road. Atkins had been reported missing for several days before the body was discovered in late August 2006.

Forsyth County authorities will not discuss the arrest until the press conference at 3:00 p.m.
