Brighter smiles, help for the less fortunate

GAINESVILLE - Brighten your smile and help the less fortunate in our area at the same time.

That's the essence of a program a Gainesville dentist - Dr. Tom Field - hopes to have in place in April and May.

Dr. Field hopes to have 30 dentists on board. They will be asked to charge $250 for teeth whitenings and agree to donate the money to the Good News Dental Clinic, which provides dental services to those who the Gainesville area who cannot afford them.

Field hopes to raise about $75,000 through program. He says the inspiration for the program came from a fund-raiser for the cancer unit at Gwinnett Medical Center.
