ATHENS -- Georgia's highly touted football recruiting class has lost one of its signees.

The school announced Monday that linebacker Dexter Moody has been released from the national letter of intent he signed last month. The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder played at Emanuel County Institute.

School spokesman Claude Felton said the school was not allowed to comment on Moody's release since he is now eligible to sign with another school.

The Bulldogs' recruiting class was ranked among the top 10 nationally by most major recruiting services.
