DOUGLAS - Gov. Sonny Perdue has announced that a new manufacturing and distribution center will create 320 jobs in Douglas.

The governor said Tuesday that GreenTech Manufacturing will invest more than $20 million in the facility. The company makes environmentally friendly construction products.

Perdue says the company will offer high-quality and high-paying administrative, technical and operational jobs.

GreenTech uses up to 95 percent recycled materials to make lightweight construction products that it says are stronger than steel. The products are meant to be an alternative to metal, wood, concrete and fiberglass.
GreenTech Manufacturing is owned by Texas-based Gulf Coast Arms.
Perdue says the company will offer high-quality and high-paying administrative, technical and operational jobs.
