Oratorical contest winners announced

GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville Evening Optimist Club held it's annual Oratorical Competition on March 4 at Lakeview Academy. <br /> <br /> Speakers wrote and delivered a 4-5 minute speech. <br /> <br /> The topic was "For Me, Optimism Is...". <br /> <br /> Boy's Division Winners: 1st - Nathan Zottnick, Lakeview Academy. 2nd - Chance Bloomer, Lakeview Academy. 3rd - Isaac Jackson, North Hall Middle School.<br /> <br /> Girl's Division Winners: 1st - Rachel Glazer, North Hall High School. 2nd -Marissa Baer, Lakeview Academy. 3rd - Marett Peets, Lakeview Academy.<br /> <br /> Students from Lakeview Academy Middle and Upper Schools, North Hall Middle and High Schools and Chestatee Middle School competed. <br /> <br /> First place winners will now compete at the Zone, Area and District levels. The District winners receive $1,500 scholarships.
