Anderson, who was signed as a free agent after spending his entire 15-year career with the Angels, was expected to add a much-needed left-handed bat to the Braves' lineup and reported to camp last week, but his status is day-to-day. Anderson said he hopes to be ready early next week.
``I don't know how it happened,'' Anderson said. ``Nothing like this has ever happened before. We just have to see how it develops after treatment. It's spring training, so it's better early than later on.''
