FLOWERY BRANCH - It wasn't a dropped wallet that led Flowery Branch police to four burglary suspects... but a cell phone they left behind at the house they had broken into.

Chief Gerald Lanich says investigators traced the phone to one of the suspects and picked up all four of them late Wednesday.

Lt. David Spillers identified the four suspects and listed their charges.

"Dustin Roper and Jacob Hortman were charged each with one county of burglary," Spillers said. "Christopher Kindon and Marshall Reimer were charged each with one count of party to the crime of burglary."

Lanich said the four had already fled when officers, responding to a burglar alarm, arrived at the vacant house on Looper Lake Road Monday night.

He says the thieves were after copper in the utilities of the house... the electrical wiring and the plumbing.

Lanich said the cell phone was central to the break in the case, adding "We'll take all (the help) we can get."
